Pamela Turnure was a Georgetown society girl who first came to the attention of JFK when she took a secretarial position in his senatorial office.
A former debutante, she became involved with Kennedy at age 21 but was hardly the doe-eyed waif. She was said to resemble Jackie in looks, aloof demeanor, and voice. She was described as “bright, attractive, well-groomed, well-spoken.”
She was also highly discreet about her liason with JFK, which went on during the White House years when she was hired as one of Jackie’s assistants.
