JFK met with Herbert Thatcher, who was general counsel of the American Federation of Labor (AFL) at 11:00 am. He then was interviewed by radio station WAAB in Worcester, Massachusetts at noon.

He had a quick lunch at 1:00 pm with a Mr. Goldberg, followed by an appointment with his physician Dr. Herbst at 1:45 pm.

In the evening, he attended a dinner hosted by Gardner Jackson in honor of Stokes Malone with was held at 1410 34th Street, N.W.
