JFK, who was very adept at using “working lunches” to further his agenda, dined with Dr. Russell Lee of the American Medical Association at 1:00 pm in the Vandenberg Room.

AT 5:00 pm Kennedy met with Arthur Maddison. He then “stopped by for a drink” at the Chamber of Commerce meeting in the Pan Am room of the Mayflower hotel at around 6:00 pm.

JFK’s dinner plans at the home of Charles Bartlett, who took credit for introducing Jack and Jackie, were cancelled.
