Out Again
After the previous night’s action, the 59 went out again on patrol, leaving base just before midnight to join up with the 187. The mission was marked by foul-ups and missed communications when the 187 lost contact with the 159 and JFK finally met up with the other two boats assigned for the mission. No enemy forces were encountered, save for an overhead plane that was not sighted in the darkness. The three boats returned to base and docked at 7 a.m.
