JFK was in Boston where he addressed the 6th Annual Convention of the United Cerebral Palsy. Himself a sufferer of a chronic and debilitating illness, he gave a poignantly detailed and heartfelt speech. In it he announced a new collaborative task force organized by the Institute of Neurological Diseases and Blindness to speed research in cerebral palsy and related conditions. He also signalled out advocates Mrs. Abraham Pinanski and David Cogan for their efforts.
