JFK returned to Washington from his trip to Boston for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. He had a light day of official duties, attending a reception for the Aluminum Extruders Council in the Congressional Hotel at 5:30 pm.
He then changed into a tuxedo and attended a dinner at the Dutch Embassy at 2347 S. Street hosted by the Ambassador Van Rifn.
