JFK arrived in Ketchikan, Alaska on November 10, 1958 fresh off a victory in his Senate race. After having flown on an overnighter from New York City to Seattle, he caught a connecting flight on Pacific Northern Airlines (Flight 1 A.)
He spent just a few hours in Ketchikan, speaking at a luncheon there before hopping into a private plane for the hour flight from Ketchikan to Juneau, where he gave a dinner speech.
He stayed overnight in Juneau at the Baranoff Hotel.
