During the day, JFK attended a White House pardon party on the south lawn attended by hundreds of students some of whom Kennedy greeted as he shook hands. One of these students was Felix Obinani of Nigeria, who wore a cap with a large feather in it.
JFK and Jackie are the guests of honor at a 6 PM reception given at Blair House by visiting Prime Minister of Norway Einar Gerhardsen and his wife Werna.
